The problem is that the Discord overlay isn’t appearing during the game and thus making communication difficult. Having the software looking at what is interacting with it may be a way but some software will just basically send basic inputs and no-one will ever really be able to see it. Ive been requested multiple time to code software to macros on games and well technically they can't because hooks on keyboard and mouse can't be simply listed.
The best is if you are just run the game at a time and that could not cause problems. Only maybe notepad++ could be used to modify game files but if you are just run it on the background then it does nothing with it. They could make a list of it but I think video maker-modifier, modeling softwares, notepad++ etc could not be a problem.
They need to make it clear what type of third party programs could be harmful or "manipulate" your game. I am using also other programs while playing usually for work and yet nothing caused problems. I do not think it could cause problems but always good to be safe.
